There are more than 70 Traditional Owner clan groups along the coast of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park,
from the eastern Torres Strait Islands to just north of Bundaberg. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Traditional Owners of the Great Barrier Reef region and there is evidence of their sea country connections dating back over 60 000 years. Their connections to sea country continue to be maintained today through traditional customs and spiritual lore. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority is working together with Traditional Owners for the protection of the Great Barrier Reef.*

The Sea Country Toolkit is designed to be a practical guide for sea country management and focuses on Traditional use of Marine Resource Agreements.

The Islands’ Project is a Tasmanian program of international reach that fosters a new generation of environmental entrepreneurs
through on-ground environmental training and mentorship. The Cutaway was approached to create a look and feel for the
program, which included a brandmark and publication design. The brandmark was inspired by nautical iconography and the
unique pattern of island clusters located around Tasmania, Australia.
